Ideology

There are really no ideals or values that I would go to great lengths to defend. Others, like Che, are more aggressive in standing by their values. I am just not one of those people. I feel like people that are living in desperation are most likely candidates for dying for a value. This is because ideals are the only things they can cling on to.

I definitely agree with your view that values are the only things that some people have to cling onto. Che didn't seem to have any other goals to live for except spreading socialism since he wasn't interested in pursuing his career in medicine.

I agree in that I think it is easier to feel strongly about something you have experienced first hand and can understand better. Sometimes it is hard to understand other people ideals and values because you aren't in there shoes and don't know why they feel so strongly about it.

I totally agree with your thoughts. I, like you, are not exactly one of those people who are SO into their values. It makes sense, as you said, that people with little to lose are more likely to defend their values at all costs.

What is it that you are passionate about? What gets you up and out of bed and motivated you through your day? (and saying '5/6 period English class' will not earn you any extra points).
